Bangladesh Schools

In rural farming communities in Bangladesh, children as young as ten often help their parents work in the fields to earn enough money to survive. Many of these kids have few education opportunities, and few have enough to eat every day.

Jesus for Asia opened a day school in Bangladesh to help kids in some of these communities and share Jesus with them.

Project History:

Our school in Bangladesh opened in 2021 after our project facilitator shared his burden for the kids in his village and those surrounding. He wanted to start a school and feeding program to give opportunities to the kids in his village and those surrounding it.

Prayerfully, we decided to go forward with building a small three-room school. Each day, around 110 students from kindergarten through fifth grade come to learn subjects like Bangla (language arts), Math, English, Science, and Bible. While the village where our school is located has some Christians, the majority of people living in this area come from Hindu and other non-Christian backgrounds. At the school, they have the opportunity to learn about Jesus and His love for them.

At lunchtime, the students eat a free nutritious meal. Since adequate nutrition is not always available for the kids at home, they are thankful for the healthy meals they are served each day. The cooks and teachers work hard to make sure all the kids get enough to eat.
