JFA Evangelists are dedicated to taking the Gospel to the millions of unreached people in their own country. They are good, efficient workers for God. They already know the language already and live with the people so they can be a continual uplifting presence for the long term.
You can see the dedication of this JFA family team. Both husband and wife have their own church plant in villages 30km apart from each other. This is how they travel to and fro!
Benjamin became a pentecostal Christian in 1992, but drifted between Christ and the world until 2002. Then he had a vision. The man in the vision told him he had a work to go out into the sinful world and bring the sinners to Jesus Christ. He looked like a pastor dressed in white with white hair. He told Benjamin: “you are a sinner. Now you are called from doing sinful things and you must equip yourself to bring other sinners to follow Jesus Christ. There is a church that I will show you where you will have to bring sinners to, that is the place that is filled with the truth.” Before this he never read the Bible. He believes that working with Jesus for Asia as an evangelist is a fulfillment of the vision he received in 2002. His family is happy about him working with us. They have won 5 souls for Jesus in the first 2 months!
Baptisms are always a highlight in anyone’s ministry, although they are only a step toward the ultimate goal of bringing a soul to heaven. It often tkes several pastors to baptize the volume of new believers coming into faith in Jesus. As important as baptism is, much more depends on the continued presence of a nurturing Bible worker or evangelist to deepen and settle those precious souls into the truth as it is in Jesus. Praise the Lord!
