Bible Workers are one of the most cost effective ways to truly grow the Kingdom of God. They are the voice, the face, the presence of the word of God, going door to door, meeting people, praying for them, teaching them the Bible and how to look to the Heavenly Father for blessings, hope, and eternal life. They already speak the language and understand the culture. They don’t need a plane ticket to get there.

Jesus for Asia has Bible workers in several countries. This fund covers wherever they may be.

Advantages of National Bible Workers:

  • They don’t have to buy an airplane ticket to get there.

  • They are able to mingle without being easily noticed.

  • They are intimately familiar with the culture.

  • They speak the local language of the people they are witnessing to.

  • A national Bible Worker can be sent out at a fraction of the cost of a Western missionary.

Meet Our Bible Workers

WHERE ARE THEY LOCATED?

Jesus for Asia has more than 600 Bible Workers in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Thailand, and sensitive countries.

WHAT DOES A BIBLE WORKER DO?

Our Bible Workers’ primary goal is to share the Gospel with whoever they can. This looks different in every location.

Since many of our Bible Workers serve in areas where sharing the Gospel is difficult, they use a variety of traditional and creative methods to share the Gospel, including:

  • Going door to door, asking people if they can pray for them.

  • Making friends in their villages, on public transport, at the store, etc.

  • Teaching in schools or tutoring in villages

  • Helping people with farming or building projects

  • Passing out literature

  • Holding evangelistic meetings for adults or children

  • Giving health talks and sharing natural remedies

  • Shepherding churches

  • And much more!

WHAT IMPACT DO THEY HAVE?

Our Bible Workers are incredibly dedicated. Some travel long distances to witness in small and remote villages, while others live in the villages, visiting the people and helping them improve both their physical and spiritual lives. Still, others spend months in a community before anyone will even speak to them, and many of them act as de-facto pastors, maintaining services in several churches where there is no pastor and expecting nothing in return.

Everywhere they go, Bible Workers pray with and give Bible studies to anyone who will listen. God has provided many miracles to bless their lives and those of the people they serve. By the grace of God, illnesses and injuries have been healed, families have been brought back together, and many people have come into the fold of Christ. Kindly pray for these Bible Workers and the work that they are doing.

HOW TO SUPPORT OUR BIBLE WORKERS…

Bible Workers who know the language and culture help grow communities of believers throughout the thousands of towns and villages across Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, and other sensitive countries. You can enable a Bible Worker to plant seeds of faith in Asia by donating to this project. All funds given toward supporting Bible Workers go directly to the Bible Workers’ monthly stipend.
