Mission Trip - Alyssa & Adelle
Alyssa & Adelle Krum are joining the Lefflers and their team in ministry through friendship evangelism and English tutoring. English teaching helps meet a practical need and opens doors to genuine relationships and to sharing Christ in their daily lives.
We are Alyssa and Adelle Krum, two cousins preparing to join our cousin Rachel Leffler, her husband Matthew, and their family in ministry in Nakhon Sawan, Thailand.
Joining our family in mission is a happy surprise for both of us. Over the years, we have each wrestled with understanding God's will for our lives, and we are grateful for the way He has led us to this opportunity. We are excited to see the plans He continues to unfold.
As we join Matthew, Rachel, and their team, we look forward to supporting the work they have already begun. Through friendship evangelism and English tutoring, they have found meaningful ways to connect with the people around them. English teaching helps meet a practical need while opening doors to genuine relationships. We hope to come alongside them by building friendships, serving where we can, and sharing the love of Christ through our daily lives.
Young people are especially influenced by the relationships and examples around them, and we hope to invest in those friendships in a way that points them to Jesus. Our desire is not only to teach but also to learn from the people we meet, seeking opportunities to understand their culture and find pathways to their hearts.
The example we want to follow is Christ's own method of ministry:
“Christ's method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He bade them, ‘Follow Me.’” (The Ministry of Healing, p. 143)
We may never communicate perfectly through language, but we can still reveal Christ through our actions. As we become friends with those around us, we pray that they will see His love reflected in our lives. Our desire is to serve, to learn, and to point others to Jesus through everyday relationships and practical acts of kindness.
