It all started when I realized that Jesus defined the gospel differently than I did...and I was pastor. Check it out: the concept of the "kingdom of God" was never far from Jesus' thoughts and words.

Now that retirement age is catching up to my wife and me, we've decided to trade in a retirement based on the American success ethos, and instead swap it out for a kingdom success ethos. Instead of seeing our career and ministry wrapping up, we've been convicted to ramp it up. After listening to the testimonies of Chrisians (like Lefflers, Maddocks, and Haberkam, and others) who have sacrificed in order to expand God's kingdom where it is needed most, we've simply decided to join the party.

We are at the beginning stages of getting ourselves permanently to Thailand/Cambodia to help wherever we are most needed. An added thrill is that some of our teenage and adult children and grandchildren have shown interest in missions and we look forward to taking as many of them with us as possible. We can't wait to take them on their first ministry scouting trip within the year. Pray to the Lord that he will position all of us just where he wants us to be.
