Mission Trip - VergaraThe Vergara sisters—Mirna, an MD, and Cesia, an architect—are going to Cambodia to use their skills in mission service. They will be assisting the Petersons in the development of the new lifestyle center, Sangkem Health in Siem Reap, Cambodia
Mirna and Cesia Vergara are sisters who are now preparing to serve together in Cambodia after spending many years apart. Raised in a missionary family, their parents served with ADRA in various countries, and from a young age, the sisters were exposed to ministry—interacting with people in need and witnessing firsthand God’s work through service.
Mirna, led by God, recently completed medical school in Peru and received training in Natural and Lifestyle Medicine at Uchee Pines Institute—a place that became the catalyst for her full surrender to Jesus through baptism. God later opened the door for her to serve with ASAP Ministries, answering her prayer for missionary work and ultimately deepening her calling as a medical missionary with a burden for Southeast Asia.
Cesia recently returned from Germany after seven years of learning a new language, studying, and working as an architect. Though the decision to leave was difficult, through prayer and God’s guidance, she became certain that her time in Germany was coming to an end. After resigning from her position, she learned about Jesus for Asia through her sister, and God placed a clear desire in her heart to continue the missionary legacy their parents began—serving as a missionary architect in Southeast Asia.
God has brought the sisters back together at this crossroads in His perfect timing, allowing them to serve Him side by side in missionary work.
