Timor-Leste is one of the world’s newest countries: it gained independence from Indonesia in 2002. But about one-fourth of its people were killed in the wake of independence. Of the 1,379,000 population, 88% are Catholic. Although the majority profess Christianity, there is much misunderstanding of the gospel, and thus, much work to be done.
