Fallen Angels - Tim Maddocks on Writing His Experiences with Spiritual Warfare

By Tim Maddocks

A year ago, I shared my new book, When Sacrifice Is Gain, never dreaming that a year later, I would be announcing the upcoming launch of yet another book, Fallen Angels. Here's the story.

While in Tennessee to speak for FaithCamp and other events, I fulfilled an overdue promise to visit Little Light Studios and record a show about demon possession. To my surprise, the show went somewhat viral with more than 211,000 views to date, followed by requests from Christians around the world for help to deal with demons in their lives or the lives of relatives. Many of these requests came in September as I joined the FaithCamp tour of Europe.

Staff at Teach Services publishing house, who had recently taken over the distribution of my book When Sacrifice Is Gain, contacted me about writing a book that taught on spiritual warfare through the recounting of real stories of deliverance.

Deliverance is a part of our ministry that I thought I had largely left behind after teaching many here in Cambodia and Malaysia how to be deliverance ministers. As the Europe tour progressed, I found God impressing me to teach more on deliverance ministry at the different churches we spoke at. People seemed excited to learn how to add this tool to their evangelism gifts, many of them having had firsthand encounters with the demonic.

When we storm satan's ground, there is going to be a response, and it is not going to be pretty.

Demons began their revenge firstly by destroying Wendy's health. Not to be deterred by their attack on my family, I began writing the new book in the third week of January. Two weeks later, as the chapters were rapidly being written, Mikey, my five-year-old grandson, was killed in a freaky accident, being crushed by a large termite mound. The demons were doing their best to convince me to stop writing.

Then, students reading the stories of deliverance from When Sacrifice Is Gain began to be harassed by evil spirits, one becoming demon possessed with the demon shouting, "Don't read the book." It is obvious that demons do not want people trained in how to evict them, and they were doing as much as God would allow to discourage me.

Touching my wife's health and taking my grandson's life was only making me more determined to finish the book 'Fallen Angels,' and see more people prepared to put on the whole armour of God and go into battle against the powers of darkness.

The book will be officially launched at the General Conference Session in St Louis in July 2025. If you're going, visit the Teach Services booth to meet Tim and get your own copy.

Tim will also be coming to conduct a seminar on spiritual warfare at the Jesus for Asia Headquarters, starting June 24 (UPDATE: You can watch the recording of Tim’s seminar here.), as well as FaithCamp in Tennessee and Idaho. Visit Jesus4asisa.org/events for more info.
